Media Operator I, ESPN Central Record - Content Operations

- Log, edit/cutdown and QC live games, studio programming and taped/archived programming for original air or re-air on ESPN, ESPN2, Deportes, ACC Network, SEC Network or other domestic and international networks.
- Employ expert knowledge of the NCS system and Disney proprietary web apps to create original and revision runsheets, check network schedules, episode formats and link archive numbers.
- Use RTS communication systems to communicate directly with control rooms for content processing, occasionally working with them to resolve issues quickly so content makes it to air.
- Route and playout content for closed captioning or capture by DTC partners for posting on ESPN+.
- Clearly communicate with domestic and international master control rooms for content that has revisions or is at risk for making it to air.
- Designed, implemented and refined an Excel template used by operators on a daily basis to receive work assignments, document work completed and hand off remaining responsibilities at the end of shifts.

- Edit, QC and deliver features, films, shows, highlights and full-length games for ESPN Video On Demand (VOD) platforms, the ESPN+ app and the ESPN+ on Hulu offerings.
- Distribute work assignments to team members using Microsoft Planner, scheduling around existing work in process, time off, department-wide outside commitments,- and management needs.
- Work with programming teams to ingest content requests and deliver the content to the VOD/streaming platforms to support press releases for new and existing ESPN and The Walt Disney Company contracts.
- Work with external affiliate relations, technology and media engineering teams to resolve issues with content deliveries.
- Create general onboarding and team workflow and training materials using the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Visio.
- Manage the team’s internal SharePoint wiki site and the team’s Atlassian Confluence space, which are used for training material presentation, project organization and related communication.
- Established a workflow to track content deliveries using Excel and created tables with formulas to visualize workload by fiscal year, quarter, platform, etc. Also established an audit report/presentation standard for department and business unit management teams.
